Points Championship
First off....I don't have a dog in this fight, but it burns my tail up that you can attend a dang car show and get more points than if you were racing every Saturday night at FCS. If I were the drivers I would say the hell with racing my car ever Saturday night and taking a chance of tearing my car up. I would just attend the car shows...you would get more points that way and get a championship out of the deal. This is not fair to the drivers and teams who have worked all summer long, night and day to get their car ready for the next event. Best of luck to everyone who is leading the points now because Whitey is going to decide who gets the championship in all divisions.

Re: Points Championship
The car show was worth 100 points. I don't know whose idea it was but it wasn't fair. The next car show is at McDonalds and they haven't even announced what the points are yet.

Yes the McDonalds in Rocky Mount.I don't know the answer to the rest of those questions. All I do know is that is what was announced during the drivers meeting this past Saturday.

Re: Points Championship
If I were a driver then I would just take my car to the car show, then after that, head home. Look how much money you could save and wouldn't have to spend all that time in the garage working on a race car to get it ready to run.
Don't get me wrong....there is some sharp cars at FCS, but a championship shouldn't be decided like this. Let's battle it out on the track and may the best man win.

Re: Points Championship
Most of the car shows that was held this year has not been for points. I don't know why this one was special.

Re: Points Championship
I know that the 81,29 and 19 were there. I don't know any others because my husband and I were busy doing things for the race car.(that's what our lives have become, all work while some of us play) I can only tell you who I heard was there.speedy wrote:who's cars attended the car show?

Re: Points Championship
I know that the #23 late model was there because he was letting everyone know in the pits that he was now 2nd in late model points. He was running around in the pits Saturday trying to find a car to drive since he blew his motor. I was told they had a couple mini stocks and u-cars. Maybe someone who attended the show will post who all was there.

Re: Points Championship
Rusty did go to the car show Saturday. After blowing his engine in the #23 he asked us if he could drive our blue street stock during Saturdays late model race so he could keep his points lead.

Re: Points Championship
Points Lead??? The website said he was 3rd, but maybe its not correct. LOL it would be a shame for someone to be given 100 points and still lose. How does a man even show his face after attending that car show. Lets see now, he went to the show and then went to the track and blew his motor......hmmmmm, that oughta tell him something lol. But on the other hand from what I see from the stands he needs all the points he can get. One more car show might do it, or will that be enough to get the lead????

Re: Points Championship
I WENT TO THE SHOW,I REMEMBER THE 23 WAS THE ONLY LMSC FROM FCS. FOUR U-CARS THE 07 19 29 AND THE 81.FOUR MS THE 08 11 33 AND THE 55. I THINK THAT DOES IT. I HAVE TO WORK THIS SATURDAY PLUS MY CAR IS JUNK NOW. I DONT THINK NO ONE WANTS TO SEE IT ANYWAY.

Re: Points Championship
well i think it aint right for a points car show ya know i think it should be where you get them at the track instead of getting them at some stupid car show and i mean if whitey wants to do that he needs to do it for a fund raiser for the needy for something lol he said hes a precher man the he needs to start do thing for other not himselfand that includes pay the drivers right i raced in the rookie ucar and idk if you get money for that but i just left i knew i wouldnt get anything but probably chump change and i dont want whitey change lol if that
Re: Points Championship
The only reason that Whitey is doing these "car shows" is to bring more people to the racetrack. The more people that show up the more money in his pocket and less in the car owners and drivers pockets.
