anyone heard when the banquet is and where.

I haven't heard a thing. Wonder if he will even have one...

The banquet is on January 23 At 6:00 @ the Waidsboro Ruritan Club.

where is that at?

Take 40 West from Rocky Mount towards Ferrum. About a mile Quick Stop make a left. On right behind the church.

Waidsboro Ruritan has Crooked Road gatherings every 1st and 3rd Thursday. See ad in Franklin News Post for more details.

not a very big place must not be expecting a lot of people... small kitchen as well so i would have to speculate not much in the way of food either.... well at least they are having one I guess.... I guess if I really wanted to go I could throw a rock lol

I wonder what the points payout will be and how far back will the drivers be paid?I was told Whitey often openly bragged about how FCS was one of the only tracks in the USA making money so I'm guessing the points payout should be more than other tracks and pay further back too?

It's not hard to make money if you don't pay your drivers....JMO

wasn't sure if yall knew but I just saw on the fcs website that its gonna cost yall $15 bucks to go to your banquet.

I am sure many people throw $15 on a pizza or meal anywhere. These are difficult economic times and many should find it affordable. I thank Whitey for keeping the cost reasonable.

funny you say pizza!! thats what I heard the food would be consisting of!!!

I cant wait for this good High Quality Entertainment tonight..I couldnt sleep well last night because of all the excitement hahahahaha

ha so it was chicken after all!! And I ended up with an apple pie and I wasnt even there!!! lol i guess that was my award! lol

So how was it? The Banquet not the pie. lol.

The banquet was nice. Door prizes for everyone attending. Fried chicken with all the fixins'. Recognition to those working at the track and the racing teams were included. Each division included a "Goodie's Headache Award and Best Sportsmanship award to mention a few. Trophies for 5th place up to 1st with each trophy getting bigger were distributed. The champions in all 5 divisions won Hoosier racing jackets complete with embroidered names and division titles. Their throphies were almost 5 feet tall to boot! Socializing with music and dancing completed the evening.

I heard it was a real nice banquet as well. I wish the fans could attend. Congrats to all the champions.

Fans were welcome and some attended. The banquet annoucement was on the web site and did not specify race teams only. Whitey recognized a couple of fans during the door prizes as they were some of the faithful ones who showed up early and attended every race. It was a full house!

My daughter went and she said it was a real nice evening as well.... she also said the trophies were real nice and "huge" as she put it....
