The Pick-and-Choose method

I noticed this past month that lonesome pine speedway was using the pick-and-choose method this year. I think this would help make the racing at fcs better. Basicly, it is a double file restart. The leader picks the inside or outside line. Next the second place car can decide to start beside or behind the leader then so on and so forth. It makes the racing interesting seeing as how you could have the leader beside the 6th place car, as long as the top 5 stays to the inside. The Pass Series also use's this method. Some of the best racing around is when tracks or certain series use's this method.

I would like that, seems like it would make for more side by side and just all around better racing.

yeah that would be a wreckfest tho but would really make for some interesting racing

I don't know that it would be a wreckfest...but it would definatly make the racing more exciting!!! Lonesome Pine had some awesome racing the first night they used it.

well look at the martinsville late model race..they started double file and it was an awesome race but with alot of wrecks lol...

Yeah but thats for $10,000. I dont think there would be many wrecks for the weekly purse at FCS. It might work and it might not.

It all sounds like and interesting concept... who knows submit it to whitey and see what he says about it!!! I think it would be interesting to see!!!

Yeah it would definatly make the racing even better in the mini stock divison. That was some exciting racing in that divison on the 11th.

I am hoping to make an appearance their this weekend... so hopefully i will get to c some great racing....

yea but whitey doesnt have enough cars for 1) if there isnt but 8 cars or so then it isnt gonna hurt you too much and 2) there isnt enough cars there that if there was a big enough wreck that tore a bunch of cars up and they are out for a few weeks then the car count is really gonna be hurting...jmo

Me personally I would rather see them keep starting single file because all a double file restart is going to do is get alot more cars tore up and the track needs as many as possible racing since they are hurting on car count as it is. But it would be great to see them start double file if he had bout 15 + cars in every division.

exactly!!! the more cars, then yeah it could work,, but not with only 6 or 7 cars, cant aford to lose many cars right now
