Callaway—Kelley Kingery drove the same car that Nathatan Wheat has won three in a row with, to victory Saturday night at Franklin County Speedway.
Kingery, subbing for the vacationing Wheat, won the 50-lap Late Model feature of the 7 Hills Graphics & Printing 300.
Kingery passed Eddie Young of Penhook on the 2nd lap and cruised to the victory.
“This is the best handling car I have ever driven.” Kingery said. I couldn’t do anything wrong with this car.” Kingery added.
Young finished a strong second, after completely rebuilding his car, from being involved in two incidents with Wheat the week before.
Wheat was fined $500.00 and placed on six weeks probation, for the two incidents. Wheat is expected back for Saturday night race, but must pay the fine, before he is allowed to compete.
Teddy Lawless of Stuart finished third, after turning the fastest time in qualifying and battling Kingery, for the lead most of the race.
Daniel Hudson 16, of Penhook won the first 25-lap U-Car race. It was his first win. Four-race winner Patrick Janney won the second 25-lapper.
Eddie Scott of Rocky Mount was second in the first race. Hudson was second in the second race.
Other Winners: Daniel Givens-Enduro, Ethan Brown-Any Car, Lisa Martin-Spectator.
Racing returns to the speedway Saturday night at 7PM.
